MiniMeds gives students the opportunity to visit New York University's Langone Medical Center and learn about human body systems from current medical students. Students leave from MCHS to go to NYS's large teaching hospital on 33rd Street in Manhattan. There small groups of students go to labs and teaching rooms with pairs of doctors in training. Each session is focused on a single system or function of the human body. Students may get a chance to see actual human body parts and will definitely get personal contact with medical professionals who are eager to share their knowledge with MCHS scholars. MiniMeds meets four Saturdays each semester. Students meet the sponsors, Mr. Smith and Mr. Cates, at MCHS and leave at 8:30 AM sharp. The program ends around 2:00 PM. Students may be dismissed from the subway or from the school depending on parental permission. See Mr. Smith for permission slips. Dates for MiniMeds in the Fall Semester are 10/22,  11/5, 11/19, and 12/3.
