Mock Trial

Mock Trial – An academic competition that pits our students against the best and brightest from throughout the five boroughs, Mock Trial is a brand new team activity that runs from November to May. Mock Trial is a combination of arguing, acting, and active listening, and allows students to polish their public speaking skills, build their poise and self-confidence, and view issues from multiple angles. After months of practice, they enter the New York City Mock Trial Invitational with over 100 other public and private high school teams. Each round in the competition is actually a mini court case, argued at the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse, in an actual courtroom, in front of an actual judge, against another high school team. We are always looking for lawyers, witnesses, understudies and anyone interested in Law, Criminal Justice, or Acting. Please see Mr. McCormick for more information.
