Student Government Association (SGA)

The Student Government Association is a team of students working together to make a positive impact and create more opportunities for interaction within the Marie Curie High School community. We do this by organizing and hosting events such as school dances, fundraisers, blood drives, and much more. We recently hosted a blood drive with the New York Blood Center and it was a great success! Many of our Marie Curie students came to donate blood and SGA was there to help out.

Anyone can choose to participate in this program. Both our school and you would benefit very much from your participation in SGA. The benefits of membership include a voice in our school community, community service hours, recognition from colleges, priority to school-related news and input, medically-related activities, and an increase in communication and leadership skills. The program takes place in room 508 on Thursdays from 2:30 to 4:30. If you’d like to join, you can speak with Mr.Childs or visit room 508 for a permission slip. SGA will soon be hosting a Spring dance, as well as other events, so tune in for more information!
