Mr. Caoile earned his bachelor’s degree in education specializing in mathematics at Saint Mary’s University in the Philippines. He served his own hometown for three years. He then moved to the city (Manila) to teach while earning his master’s degree at the University of the Philippines. In 2003, he was hired by the New York City Board of Education as a high school mathematics teacher. At MCHS, Mr. Caoile teaches Algebra 1 and Math Word Problems to 9th graders. He also moderates the Junk Artists Club. He is very open and willing in helping students in any way he can. He is based in room 533 and don’t hesitate to approach him for any help!

Prior to working at Marie Curie, Mr. Ghajari taught Mathematics and lived in Chile for 3 years. During this time, he worked with small communities and schools in Antofagasta, Chile to improve their mathematical instruction and pedagogical methods. Currently, Mr. Ghajari is teaching Algebra and Mathematical Instructions and is a full time Masters student at the City University of New York at Lehman College for Mathematics. During his free time, Mr. Ghajari enjoys playing Basketball, playing Chess and practicing TaeKwonDo.



Mr. Stern
Mr. Stern holds a BA in Mathematics from Earlham College, an EdM in Human Development from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and an MS in Secondary Math Education from Lehman College. 
Prior to Marie Curie School, Mr. Stern worked at DeWitt Clinton High School. Before teaching he worked in software publishing as a Project Manager. He has been a certified instuctor for Texas Instruments Educational Products since 2007, and in 2013 he was granted a Master Teaching Fellowship by Math for America. He continues to participate actively with both organizations. He also volunteers with public radio station WFUV. He is fluent in Japanese, and is interested in the ancient Asian board game, Go.
