Seal of Biliteracy Graduates
The New York State Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB) is an award that recognizes high school graduates who have achieved a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English. It is awarded by states and is marked by a gold seal on the diploma or transcript. The seal validates bilingualism, which can provide advantages in the job market and for college admissions. We have MCHS graduates who have earned NYSSB.

Ed Equity Lab National Honor Society
MCHS Celebrates Outstanding Achievement of Scholars in College Courses from the Nation’s Top Universities: The Marie Curie High School for Medicine, Nursing, and Health Professions, in partnership with the National Education Equity Lab (Ed Equity Lab), proudly recognizes our scholars who have been inducted into the Ed Equity Lab’s National Honor Society. These exceptional high school students have demonstrated outstanding academic performance by performing in the top 20% of nearly 8,000 scholars nationwide enrolled in dual-credit college courses offered by Stanford University, Brown University, Howard University, University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown University, Wesleyan University, Cornell University, University of California, Morehouse College, Arizona State University, and Barnard College. "I am extremely proud of our scholars for this achievement." - Principal Williams
$450,000 TEQ Grant
MCHS is honored to be awarded the TEQ Grant, through Bronx Borough President Gibson and Council Woman Pierina Sanchez's office, a powerful investment in advancing technology, equity, and quality instruction for our scholars. This grant will expand access to innovative tools, strengthen career-connected pathways, and deepen scholar engagement across disciplines.
Distraction Free Learning
Personal internet and non internet enabled devices (such as cell phones, smartwatches, headphones, earbuds etc.) are collected at the start of the school day and returned at dismissal to support focused, distraction-free learning. This policy aligns with NY State law and helps protect instructional time, foster safety, and reduce disruptions. Families can always reach scholars through the Main Office in case of emergencies.
