College & Career Support

Through our partnerships with the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center, Futures and Options, and MCHS staff, we staff our College, Career and Sustainability Center.

Melissa Nunez is our Pathways Advisor, working primarily with 9th and 10th grade scholars to bring them on tours of colleges, as well as Career Discovery Week trips. Mrs. Nunez meets with scholars one on one as well as in groups to create career plans, to discuss academic goals and strategies for success.

Amanda Muniz (MCHS Class of 2018 alumna) is our College Bound advisor through MMCC. She works primarily with 11th and 12th graders, bringing college representatives in for information sessions and on the spot admissions, organizing trips to college campuses and to college fairs, meeting one on one and in small groups with scholars to create strong plans for the future. Most importantly, Amanda helps our scholars apply to college and apply for financial aid.
