FutureReady NYC

The Marie Curie HS is a FutureReady NYC school, which means that our scholars have the opportunity to receive all five elements of our Diagnostic Medicine program: 

• Work Based Learning Opportunities: paid internships and paid group project experiences designed around a challenge in the medical field, starting in the 11th grade. To access these opportunities scholars must have an account in the Career Pathways Portal. 

• College-Career Instruction: courses in scholar schedules related to the medical field. Our scholars have the chance to take Career Explorations, Health Care Core 1, 2, 3, 4, Anatomy and Physiology, and Diagnostic Medicine 

• Early College Credits: scholars who meet the criteria may earn free college credits at Lehman College in courses included in several medical degrees 

• Personal Advising: multiple times a year, scholars meet with our Pathways Advisor to work on their postsecondary plans, explore their interests, and work through challenges

• Financial Literacy: in multiple classes, scholars learn key concepts to help them make wise decisions once they start earning money????
